Farmland LP acquires conventional farmland and converts it to organic, sustainable farmland. They provide investors with access to this unique asset class, which has proven to deliver inflation-protected returns over long periods of time. Farmland LP adds value to farmland by converting it to certified organic farmland, thus gaining access to the 50% to 200% price premium for organic goods. In addition, they lower the costs for farmers by using sustainable agriculture land management best practices, which are proven to reduce the need for and cost of fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides and seeds, while also increasing the productivity of the land. Thus, they are able to fulfill their mission of delivering solid returns to their investors while helping build a sustainable, healthy, local food system for the future.
We became a certified B Corp because it provides us with independent, holistic measures that let us know if we're oriented in and moving in the right direction, and what areas we may need to work on. We see B Corps as a community of people who share our passion for taking on the unique challenge of accomplishing social and environmental missions while building a successful business.

The Change We SeekTM
Farmland LP's mission is to generate superior returns for our investors while building a sustainable, healthy, local food system for our future.
•Investors win by investing in a tangible, long-lived, inflation-protected, cash flowing asset that we make better by employing sustainable management practices.
•Farmers win by gaining access to certified organic, highly fertile farmland, helping them grow their businesses without going into debt.
•Consumers win from an increased supply of locally grown, certified organic food from farms they can visit.
•Society benefits from a decreased reliance on oil and other fossil fuels, and a healthier and more robust and resilient local food supply.
•The new generation of farmers gains access to farmland they can afford and access to older, successful farmers as mentors, employers and partners, while they earn the experience, track records and capital to buy their own farms.
•The environment (air, water, soil, and all the creatures living there) benefits by enhanced carbon sequestration, reduced nitrogen run-off, and eliminated inorganic pesticides, herbicides and fertilizers.
•Our children benefit from a future with sufficient farmland and a new, local, healthy and sustainable food system that produces plenty of food.
