Give Something Back Business Products is California's largest independent office supplier and donates more than half of its profits to community organizations through a balloting process that involves GSB's 17,000 customers and 80-plus employees.
B Corp is wholly compatible with the mission GSB has been operating under for 16 years. B Corp provides GSB with the opportunity to lead other companies and help them become socially responsible businesses.
GSB seeks to delight our customers by helping them save time and money on their office products purchases. We provide rewarding careers for employees and support communities in which we do business by donating more than half our company profits to community organizations.
The Change We Seek™
• Give Something Back is determined to reduce its environmental footprint. We want to give a clean and healthy environment back to the people who support it! To help us achieve that goal, we power our corporate headquarters using a 50,000 watt solar farm on our roof. We are testing bio-diesel fuel in our delivery fleet. We became a certified Green Business by passing the rigorous requirements of the Alameda County Green Business Program. Earning Green Business Certification is just the beginning; in the years ahead we look forward to finding new ways to reduce our carbon footprint.
• We are as determined to promote our green and recycled office supplies as we are to reducing our footprint. We’re proud of the environmentally responsible products that we sell. We offer more than 5,000 recycled and green options in almost every product category, including filing products, calendars, machine supplies, cleaning solutions, breakroom products, tissue and towels and of course hundreds of choices of recycled paper. We encourage our customers to join in our efforts by participating in our toner cartridge recycling program and by choosing products that are recyclable or biodegradable.
