The B Impact Assessment
The B Impact Assessment is a useful management tool to:
1. To assess your company's impact on each of its stakeholders and
2. Improve your social and environmental performance using our Tools and Best Practices embedded in the Survey.
Results from the assessment are displayed in easy to read B Reports with specific scores for environment, community, employees, etc. These results are transparent to the public for all Certified B Corporations.

- It’s free and open to all, whether or not you’d like to become a Certified B Corporation. You are welcome to use it as a benchmarking tool and to track your company’s social and environmental performance.
- The B Impact Assessment has two parts - the B Impact Assessment and the B Impact Report generated from it, with scores for each section and subsection.
- The B Impact Assessment changes depending on type and size of company. For instance, a manufacturing company answers more questions on their environmental footprint than a service company.
- Tools and resources are provided throughout the Assessment to help you improve your company’s social and environmental performance, including how to develop a Supplier Code of Conduct or conduct Life Cycle Assessment.
- We welcome your feedback –the B Impact Assessment is updated every 2 years and work is already under way for Version 4.0.
