About RecycleBank

RecycleBank is a rewards program that motivates people to recycle. We measure the amount of material each home recycles and then convert that activity into RecycleBank Points that can be used to shop at over 1,500 local and national businesses.  In addition, through our new program Gconomy™, people can be rewarded for other green actions, such as expanded e-waste opportunities, use of solar or wind power, water efficiency, driving efficiencies, reduce and reuse, riding public transportation, and purchasing products made from recycled content.

We'd been a fan of B Corp for a long time and once we got financing in place we were glad to join a community of businesses achieving high standards of social and environmental performance. We think B Corp certification can bring third party credibility not only to us but to all sustainable business.

RecycleBank is here to change behaviors and attitudes – not as enforcers, but as encouragers. Whether you are taking baby steps, learning the path to greater awareness, or are a bona fide tree hugger, we respect your shade of green. We believe we can help by making recycling understandable, easy and rewarding. RecycleBank’s mission is to get every house to recycle because everybody, everywhere can recycle and should be rewarded for doing so.

The Change We Seek™

Our goal is to make green lifestyle choices both easy and rewarding for all people, all over the world.

• RecycleBank Points offer hundreds of dollars in reward savings to members for their recycling efforts. Those members redeem their rewards locally over 50% of the time, stimulating main streets all over the US and in the UK. Cities, Municipalities and Boroughs save money in costly landfill disposal fees and the planet reaps the reward of savings in our precious resources.

• The RecycleBank program has proven to more than double recycling rates in cities in 21 states across the country and the United Kingdom.

• We want to progress societies' view of the product lifecycle from linear to cyclical. Since the discarding of products in a linear lifecycle destroys value, then the reuse and recycling of that product should create value. We believe that in order for a cyclical product lifecycle to be created and remain sustainable, value must be passed back to the entity, households, who are responsible for providing each product a cyclical lifecycle.
