In 2001, on the lower slopes of Mt Kenya in Laikipia, Cinnabar Green planted its first organic herb gardens. From these beginnings, the company went on to create a line of plant-powered personal care and body products inspired by African botanicals and grounded in regenerative farming and environmental responsibility. Over the years, Cinnabar Green has developed a simple yet effective range of soaps, washes, shampoos, deodorants and lotions using essential oils, plant extracts and sustainably sourced ingredients. Cinnabar Green believes that luxury products can be created in a way that restores ecosystems, supports local livelihoods and reconnects consumers with nature. The company grows many of its own botanicals, including lavender, lemon verbena, thyme and geranium, and works closely with local communities and regional suppliers to strengthen ethical sourcing and rural employment. The company farms, formulates, manufactures and packages its products in Kenya, allowing for transparency across the supply chain. Cinnabar Green is committed to reducing its environmental impact through the use of refillable and recyclable packaging and the responsible use of resources.
