Common Good: A Blueprint For Impactful Business

New short film series, Common Good, tells the stories of B Corps making business work for people and the planet.

Faced with global rising temperatures, increasing social inequality, and heightened scepticism of how companies can meet the demands of our changing world, a growing community of Certified B Corporations™ is trying to prove that business can be a force for good.

Balancing purpose and profit, these nearly 10,000 certified companies are working to weave environmental and social performance, transparency, and accountability into their mission. Common Good, a groundbreaking new film series presented by B Lab and produced by BBC StoryWorks Commercial Productions, showcases inspiring stories from purpose-driven business leaders from around the world.

This online series explores the tangible impact B Corps are creating across industries and regions to protect our planet, support communities, and reshape business for the better.

The below short films introduce you to remarkable innovators: the entrepreneur in the Sahel desert protecting dairy farmers’ livelihoods while bringing their products to the city, the tea-makers brewing biodiversity in Guatemala by encouraging cardamom farmers to plant in the local forest, the accountants in Idaho supporting a company which builds homes for unhoused communities, the trailblazer in Kenya working to improve sanitation in informal settlements and the passionate beekeeper in Greece creating resilient hives with help of a forward-thinking cosmetics company.

Pioneering a new governance model for better business impact.

This means balancing financial profit with responsibility to people, communities, and the planet.  From Tony’s Chocolonely’s mission guardians to House of Hackney’s decision to give nature a voice on the board, learn how pioneering B Corps are embedding long-term purpose into the DNA of the business.
