The year ahead at B Lab Global

It sits within B Lab Global's mission and the goal of the broader B Corp movement: to transform the global economy into a more inclusive, equitable, and regenerative system for all people and the planet. This ambition sets a high bar. To achieve this, B Lab Global’s role is twofold: 1) provide products and services to the Global Network of B Lab and Sistema B regional organizations, and 2) lead the global B Corp movement to make business a force for good.

Our global movement is gaining momentum like never before. To continue to meet the tremendous increase in demand from companies seeking to use our standards and join this movement, and to ensure we are able to leverage the growing potential of this community, B Lab Global is prioritizing three objectives at this inflection point: 

• Improve the speed, integrity, and quality of our verification and certification services

  • We are specifically focusing on addressing the significant backlog of companies in the queue to become Certified B Corps and reducing the wait time in the queue. 

• Strengthen our standards to meet market requirements

  • The main effort is to implement the plan to roll out the new standards for B Corp Certification.

• Build impactful and revenue-generating digital experiences

  • Our work is to investigate additional products we could take to market, and begin to digitally transform our systems to make our services, products, and ways of working more efficient. 

To better enable our teams, B Lab Global has restructured into four departments: 

• Certification, Standards & Product Delivery 

• Strategic Growth

• Finance & Administration 

• Strategy & Global B Corp Movement

In addition, together with our Global Partners, we’ll complete our Vision 2030 and Strategic Plan 2023-2025. We're also building a more closely integrated operational and financial business model with our Global Partners that will work better for all of us by enhancing our mutual accountabilities and transparency. 

And, we'll continue to execute on our movement building work that builds on the above three priorities, so that we’re able to unleash the full potential of this community in 2024 and beyond. We’re more focused than ever on transforming the global economy to benefit all people, communities, and the planet.
