Good jobs are vital for individual well-being, societal equity, and economic prosperity. Their positive effects extend beyond a single workplace to impact workers’ families and reduce inequality. They drive development by increasing earnings, empowering minorities, boosting efficiency, and fostering social cohesion.

A recent report by WorkRise, focused on the U.S., found that B Corps engage in more job quality practices than comparable companies - not just excelling in a single area, but by adopting a wider range of measures.

Our research builds on the U.S. view, offering a global analysis of B Corp job quality performance structured around the Aspen Institute's Good Jobs Framework (economic stability, economic mobility, and equity, respect, and voice). This global whitepaper explores job quality practices across regions and compares B Corps to "Ordinary Businesses" (companies who have started B Lab’s B Impact Assessment, but do not necessarily prioritize social or environmental issues). It also examines the impact of these practices on worker and firm outcomes, imagining their potential for broader systemic impact towards a more just and equitable economy.
