What are the B Lab Standards?
A credible framework for business impact
B Corps are certified against the B Lab Standards, a globally recognized framework that assesses a company’s social and environmental impact across key areas, from climate action to human rights. The certification process is independently audited and verified by a third party, based on ISO 17021-1 requirements.
Raising the bar for responsible business practices
B Lab Standards are developed with the independent Standards Advisory Council. In April 2025, we launched the biggest update to the B Lab Standards in our history. Companies applying from 2026 will certify against V2.1 of our standards, which establishes a stronger, more transparent foundation for all businesses.
