About Green Mountain Power

Green Mountain Power is committed to their community and the environment, as they transform into Vermont’s Energy Company of the Future to provide their customers with energy efficient products and services to help them save money by using less energy.

GMP is at the forefront of a new energy system for Vermont that can improve lives, reduce costs, and be produced in a more environmentally and economically sustainable way. They are leading the transition from the traditional grid of the past, to one that is more resilient and reliable, and that uses a series of microgrids through renewable and clean energy generation and innovative energy storage solutions. This work will empower their customers like never before and increase their comfort in all Vermont seasons while fostering healthier, stronger communities.

GMP is also leading through innovative partnerships with customers to offer integrated products and services like E-homes, a total home energy offering, that is already helping Vermonters save money. Their program includes weatherizing homes and using smart products like heat pumps to become more energy efficient by reducing fossil fuel use.

We became a B Corp to demonstrate our deep commitment to creating positive change in the community and the environment through our work to make clean energy more affordable and reliable. We embrace the mission to “do good” in all things we do, put customers first, and seek to make Vermont and the world a healthier place to live. We are very honored to be the first utility to receive the distinguished B Corp certification.

The Change We Seek®

GMP is partnering with Vermonters to improve lives and transform communities. Energy can spur socio-economic change for residents, helping people save money and move toward more renewable sources. And clean energy can make stronger, healthier communities with a more resilient and reliable system. In a small state like Vermont where our commitment to the land and to each other is battle-tested and true, change for the better is always possible. As Vermont’s largest utility company, it is our duty and our pledge to lead an energy transformation that can be a model for the nation and the world. This transformation requires a commitment to our talented employees, customers and Vermont to exceed expectations as we move to a new model of doing business that offers holistic, clean energy solutions and creates a new energy future for the state and people we love so much.
