About Kickstarter

Kickstarter is the world’s largest funding community for creative projects — everything from films, games, restaurants, and music to art, design, and technology. Kickstarter is full of ambitious, innovative, and imaginative projects that are brought to life through the direct support of others. Since its launch in 2009, 7.5 million people have pledged $1.5 billion, funding more than 75,000 creative projects. Kickstarter is an independent company of about 100 people located in Brooklyn.

We’re a mission-driven organization, and we take great care to act with integrity and prioritize responsible governance, corporate transparency, and a respectful and inclusive work environment. Because those values are already deeply held, becoming a B Corp was a natural step for us. We're fully committed to responsible corporate citizenship for the long haul.

The Change We Seek®

Kickstarter's mission is to help bring creative projects to life. They believe that creative projects make for a better world, and are thrilled to help support new ones!
