About Lulu Press, Inc.

Founded in 2002, revolutionized the publishing industry by introducing free online publishing to the world. For do-it-yourself authors, Lulu provides free tools for print and eBook creation, free ISBNs for identification, and free distribution to a global network of online bookstores. Other than a proof copy to approve, there are no minimum purchases for authors and no hidden fees.

In 2016, Lulu introduced Glasstree Academic Publishing. Utilizing Lulu's print-on-demand technology, academic authors now have the publishing tools and distribution network they need to control, share and benefit from their knowledge and expertise.

By applying for B Corp certification we were able to directly measure the environmental impact of our business model and practices. We knew that print-on-demand production methods not only saved trees, but also reduced our carbon footprint since printed books are shipped directly from the printer to the consumer. Through the application process, we also learned of the impact we make each day through fair business practices and community involvement. We are now committed to maintaining our B Corp certification and improving our scores through continued sustainability efforts and expanded community outreach through our "Better Than Yesterday" employee volunteer program.

The Change We Seek®

Lulu is dedicated to making the world a better place, one book at a time. To expand on this mission, all Lulu employees are granted three paid volunteer days per year to help others in our communities. Employees can participate in Lulu sponsored group activities or share their skills with organizations close to their hearts. We are committed to making the world a better place; one community at a time, one employee at a time, three days at a time.
