About Nahua LLC

Nahua LLC is the parent company of Nahua Cacao and Nahua Chocolate, the operating subsidiaries based in Costa Rica. Nahua Cacao processes and sells fine flavored cacao beans to premium artisanal and specialty chocolatiers in Europe and the United States. Nahua Chocolate produces and sells high quality, single-origin chocolates in Costa Rica, to international visitors and local connoisseurs.

Nahua sources the finest cacao beans from smallholder growers who respect the environment and the rights of workers. The company encourages growers to cultivate cacao at high quality standards, helping them increase their productivity. Nahua directly purchases raw cacao at fair and consistent prices, and shares its knowledge of sustainable growing practices. This increases the incomes and improves the lives of independent cacao growers and their families.

We believe in profit with purpose and making a positive social and environmental impact in our operations. Becoming a B Corp strengthens our commitment to this impact.

The Change We Seek®

Nahua is committed to supporting and empowering smallholder farmers through technical, ecological and social programs to promote sustainable practices, reforestation and the conservation of natural ecosystems.
