Saclà is an industry leader in the production and export of olives, preserved vegetables, pickles, pesto and sauces. Founded in Asti in 1939, it is now a third generation family run business. For over eighty years it has been an internationally appreciated company exporting the excellence of the fields combined with the creativity of cuisine to over seventy countries around the world, keeping the spirit of the founders alive. Saclà has a real respect for tradition, honoring the traditional techniques in growing and preserving vegetables, following the rhythm of the seasons wherever it possibly can. In 2014, the Castello di Annone project was born, a sustainable factory with low environmental impact: a factory with water cycle management systems, reduction of CO2 emissions and self-produced electricity thanks to solar panels and biogas from processing waste. In 2019, Saclà launched the #ThanksPlanet project. This has become one of the pillars for the company sustainability strategy, aiming to consistently improve its environmental and social impact, in line with the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Sustainability means believing in a better future and striving to build it one step at time. That is why Saclà became a Benefit Company in 2023 and B Corp in 2024.
