They build direct, long-term relationships with producers and trading partners. Supplying wholesale to cafes and restaurants across Scotland and beyond, Glen Lyon also sell coffee online and through their roastery. At the heart of their rural, highland community of Aberfeldy, Glen Lyon’s roastery is host to a monthly Repair Café as well as their Coffee Academy, which mentors young people into work with barista training, work placements and SCA qualifications. Glen Lyon’s commitment to zero waste and making their impact on the planet a positive one have seen the company pioneer the use of compostable coffee packaging in Scotland, install solar panels on their roastery roof and invest in an electric vehicle for local deliveries. Their ongoing partnership with the charity Trees for Life sees the Glen Lyon team head out annually to Glen Affric to plant trees while sales of their True North coffee go towards re-wilding projects in the Scottish Highlands.
