NEW YORK, 10 March 2020 — In recognition of 14 years of impact, innovation, and movement building, B Lab has been named to Fast Company’s prestigious annual list of the World’s Most Innovative Companies for 2020, landing at #5 in the Not-for-Profit sector list. Fast Company publishes yearly lists, organized by sector as well as a Top 50, to honor the organizations and businesses making the most profound impact on both industry and culture, and showcase a variety of ways to thrive in today’s fast changing world.

This distinction acknowledges B Lab as both a standards and global movement building organization, driving economic systems change around the world. It also coincides with B Corp Month, our annual celebration of the global B Corp community that highlights the collective power of buying from, working for, and doing business with Certified B Corporations.

"This honor is a big win for our whole global network, and it’s a testament to the hard work of our teams and the power of the B Corp movement," said Co-Founder and B Lab Global CEO, Andrew Kassoy. "We're delighted to be recognized alongside B Corps on this list as well, demonstrating that responsible business is both profitable and innovative. And as more mainstream business conversations revolve around the topic of changing our economic system, we’re excited and ready for more of this talk to turn to action with corporates, the capital markets, and at the public policy level."

The 2020 Most Innovative Companies list features 434 businesses from 39 countries, including several B Corps. Fast Company’s editors and writers sought out the most groundbreaking businesses on the planet and across myriad industries.
